Kasora
Makaibari Darjeeling

I've just finished my first sip of the Darjeeling that Kasora sent me to sample. I really enjoy it. There's the immediate earthiness that all Darjeelings and I love that. The taste transforms quickly into a smooth licquor - just excellent. Mmmm.

Let's go back briefly to my preparation of the tea. I opened the sealed container that Kasora had sent me. I divided it into two equal stacks and put them into two bags also provided by Kasora. The first bag lacked a string, which seemed a bit odd. The next two I pulled out worked fine. They are very nice bags, I may purchase a set of bags regardless of how my experience with their teas go.

I let the water boil and then poured it over one of the teabags. I let it sit for 3 minutes. I then let it cool for several more minutes before taking a drink.

So, if you're looking for a reasonably priced but high quality Darjeeling I would recommend giving these folks a try.

(added note) This tea held up well to two rebrews -- that is always appreciated.

Mr. Shott and Mr. Nott agreed to fight a duel. Nott was shot and Shott was not, so it is better to be Shott than Nott. Shott shot the shot that shot Nott. If the shot that Shott shot which shot Nott had shot Shott and not Nott, Shott instead of Nott would have been shot and Nott would not.

Golden Yunnan Tea

This is the tea that Cynosion sent me previously. I tried to be conscious of this tea the first many times I drank it, but I just never managed it. Since then I've found that this is one of the few teas that I prefer with milk. Just a dash of milk to be sure

I got my package from Kasora on Friday. There were 3 teas, a decorative tea, a tin and several teabags. Sweet.

The teas that they sent me are:
1. Makaibara Darjeeling I love my Darjeeling teas and I'm excited to try this one to see how it compares.
2. Stone Blossom bi luo chun As regular readers know, I've been struggling to explore the world of green teas. Occasionally one hits me just right and I'm hopeful this could be one of those.
3. Jasmine Girl's Ring This tea has a rather striking appearance. Each leaf is hand rolled into a tiny ring. I haven't had positive experiences with jasmine teas before, but I'm happy to give this one a try.
